Natural eye make-up tips

 

Natural eye make-up can subtly enhance your eyes to make them stand out.  The key to achieving this look is to use neutral shades close to your natural skin tone.

 

To achieve this look:

  • Apply a light eyeshadow to the entire eyelid top to bottom.
  • Apply a medium toned eyeshadow to the crease and blend upwards.
  • Apply a dark eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eye to give more definition and depth to the eye.
  • Apply the same dark eyeshadow to the lower lashline-connecting the colour to the upper eyelid.
  • Apply a highlighting eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye and to the brow bone.
  • Apply a few coats of mascara.

Smokey eye make-up tips

Smokey eye make-up can be worn during the day or the evening. The key to this look is to blend your eyeshadows really well together.

To achieve this look:

  • Apply a light natural eyeshadow to the entire eyelid top to bottom.
  • Apply a medium toned eyeshadow to the crease of the lid and blend towards the outer corner of the eye.
  • Apply a dark eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eye and blend towards the crease- to give more definition and depth to the eye.
  • Apply the same dark eyeshadow close towards the outer third of the upper lashes and blend well to achieve a smokey look.
  • Apply the same dark eyeshadow to two thirds of the outer corner of the lower lashline-connecting the colour to the upper eyelid.
  • Apply the same medium toned eyeshadow to the inner corner of the lower lashline.
  • Apply a highlighting eyeshadow along the brow bone.
  • Use a black kohl or kajal eye pencil to line the lower waterline.
  • Use a dark eyeliner to line the upper lashline.
  • Eyeshadow of the same colour can be applied over the eyeliner to soften the look and give it staying power.
  • Apply a few coats of mascara preferably black.

Cat eye make-up tips

This look is very striking and will definitely draw attention to your eyes.

To achieve this look:

  • Apply a light natural eyeshadow to the entire eyelid top to bottom.
  • Use a soft kohl pencil to line the upper lashline drawing thicker towards the outer corner of the eye slanting upwards then smudge close towards the lashline.
  • Line the lower lashline again smudging it slightly.
  • Apply a medium to dark eyeshadow over the lid and blend well towards the crease and outer corner.
  • Apply liquid eyeliner to the top lid thickening it towards the outer corner and extending it slightly beyond your natural lashline.
  • Apply a dark eyeshadow over the liquid eyeliner and smudge slightly.
  • Apply two coats of mascara paying particular attention to the upper outer lashes.
